Being a huge fan of the NBA (and the Chicago Bulls) growing up, I found myself unimpressed with the 20-song soundtrack released by 2k Sports (and Lebron James) Friday night for the upcoming 2K14 video game.
Taking some initiative, I embarked on creating a custom soundtrack to import into the video game. Using Youtube, I began compiling songs from both the NBA’s Golden Era (1990’s) and today that have been used in promos/commercials/videos for the NBA.
After watching countless videos, the end result was a 21-song soundtrack where every song is either basketball specific or has a special connection to the NBA.
I would put this soundtrack up against any past, present or future basketball soundtrack.

THROWBACK GAMING 
Genius! Magic playlist… i remember most of these song, some goodies like Jam Session, Above The Rim, Rump Shaker… Drop it On The One, Rozalla hit, MJ’s Jam and Hip Hop Hooray of course.
I might add “White men can’t Jump” by Riff… I don’t know if it’s ever been inserted from the NBA in some context, but it was in the same Wesley Snipes film that had great success in the environment of basketball in the 90’s. Duty to put it!
